5 Lessons from a Pencil
We all need to be constantly sharpened throughout our life. We are all uniquely created with the ability to leave a mark. Through God’s favour and mercy, our mistakes are erased and we are given the opportunity to correct and move forward. Never allow yourself to sink into discouragement and think your life can’t change. You are significant. I read this several years ago and have not been able to credit the author. It is a simple message with profound results.
A pencil maker told a pencil 5 important lessons:
1. Everything you do will always leave a mark.
2. You can always correct the mistakes you make.
3. What’s inside you is most important.
4. In life, you will undergo painful sharpening’s which will make you a better pencil.
5.To be the best you can be, you must allow yourself to be held and guided by the hand that holds you!! (unknown)
Like the pencil, the most important part of who you are is on the inside waiting to be sharpened and used. God wants to fulfil the purpose that you were born to accomplish. It’s time to get the lead out.
